Hey, chin up, darling! Grab yourself a sandwich, take a walk, and call up your girlfriends. Remember: Us men aren’t all that special and there’s always another one of us out there.
My chin’s up, promise. Can’t guarantee it’ll stay up for very long given the circumstances I’ve got myself into and all. I would call up my ‘girlfriends’ but I don’t exactly have any, they were all his friends and by now? He would’ve convinced them that I’m no good. Thank you though, Gunnar. You’re very sweet.
You broke up? Oh no, Marley. I’m sorry to hear that.
I know that we don’t really know each other and that you probably will find support with your friends right now, but if you need anyone to talk to or anything — I’m always here. Even if it’s just over a coffee sometime and about something completely unrelated to take your mind off of things. It still counts, alright?
Don’t apologize, Kurt. I’d known it was coming for a long time, I just didn’t know it was going to end..like this.
I appreciate that, especially considering the fact that a lot of my friends here were a lot of his friends. Judging by what he’s been telling them, I can tell I’m just about going to have no friends left by the time he’s finished. Coffee would be nice, talking would be eve nicer. I really just want my mind to be free of this idiot, seriously.
Who knew a break-up could hurt this badly? I never knew it was possible to stay in your room, avoid human contact and stop eating for so long. Odd.
I’m used to hanging with shorties, so it’s cool. And I’d love to visit! I’ll send you my number and we can text whenever to plan a good time.
Us shorties are a lot of fun so that’s probably why you find it so cool. I’ll be looking forward to when you visit, Finn. I’ll be looking forward to that and trust me, anytime is a good time!
Oh, yeah, I guess I haven’t changed much… At least I haven’t gotten taller though.
I’m really happy you consider me a part of your success, but really you came into that Glee club with talent, you know? All I got to do was help you realize it. Anyway… it’d be nice to see you again, if you want to.
Hey, who says you need to change? Change is often a bad thing, you know? If you got taller, I would have to wear about 3 pairs of high heels just to get close to your height.
But you helped me accentuate it, Finn. Don’t take all the credit away from yourself because you really do deserve it after all. Thank you for helping me, by the way. Just proves again how great you are. Oh, of course! You could always come into the Hard Rock Cafe and visit me whenever you like?
You look really different too! But in a good way. Like you don’t look like a high school kid anymore- which is good cause you aren’t. But yeah! I’m studying music education, so I’ll well on my way to getting that together. In high school, Glee club always made me feel like I could do anything, so I’m excited to give that to other kids when I teach again.
That’s quite sweet of you to say, Finn. I’d imagine I don’t look like a high schooler anymore considering I’m almost 20 in a couple of months. I see you still have a rather..awkward way with your words. That is amazing! If I know anything about you, it’s that you’re capable of becoming a sensational teacher. I know that whatever kids you teach will appreciate your wisdom just as much as we all did. Well, you already know you have the capability of giving that to kids considering you gave it to me. I mean, look at me now. I’m at Juilliard, in New York. If anything, I’d say it’s thanks to you. Oh, and Mr. Schue, of course!
Oh no, trust me, I completely relate to what you’re talking about. I have a whole DVR with television show episodes I need to catch up on, as well as a few movies on my netflix account. It’s just finding the time to do so. I’ll probably try and push an hour or two around my schedule today to try, because a much needed rest break is just as important as working hard all week. And what else are weekends supposed to be for? You work at the Hard Rock Cafe? I can see why you would be busy, I hear that nine times out of ten that place is packed. It must be somewhat interesting however all the same, being surrounded by all that film memorabilia.
Oh wow, news does travel. I honestly didn’t expect that we’d still both be the talk of things back at McKinley, even if it is only just a little bit. It’s very flattering, I have to say. Thank you. But don’t put yourself down like that, as I say I bet that you’re an amazing singer. Do you still sing since you graduated yourself? I know sometimes it can be difficult to carry it on, but other times it’s a passion that you simply just want to continue with even if it’s only in a small way. And of course Finn talked about you! He was always so happy and proud about getting to help you guys out, I could tell from his messages that he prided in your abilities as a group. It made me glad to see that he had found something that he truly loved to do and work on so much.
Netflix? I don’t even remember what that is since I’ve become piled under so much work from school, seriously. It’s something that comes at the very bottom of my priority list. My life is so lame, I know. I barely have time to crash after school before I have to get up again and head off to work. If only I could find time for a rest break..sheesh! You’re lucky, Kurt, seriously! Weekends, for me, are also for working, working, working! The place is packed to the roof and the walls, day in, day out. It’s absolutely crazy. It is definitely interesting with all the memorabilia, also when some famous people come in. That is one of my other favorite things, too.
News does have a habit of traveling fast, yes. Even once you move so far away from your hometown you feel like you moved to a country on the opposite side of America, you know? I do like to think I’m somewhat of an okay singer, not an amazing one though. I do still sing, yes. I’m actually studying Vocal Arts at Juilliard at the moment which is unbelievably fun! It was a bit of a struggle moving away from my mother, seriously. I was really upset about having to move away from my friends too, I suppose it’s always like that. Finn is such a sweetheart, aw. He helped us so much in both preparing for our competitions and preparing ourselves for life after high school. He’s truly someone that I have a lot of thank for, seriously. He’s a great guy and I’m so glad he’s becoming a teacher, he’ll be brilliant, I’m sure.
Don’t worry, I’ll be giving in-depth play-by-plays while I’m gone, so you can live vicariously through me. It’s all part of the job, darling!
At least your lameness will pay off, yeah? I certainly have faith that someday it will, and you’ll be a fantastic…whatever you happen to be studying to be!
Excellent! I’ll be sure to enjoy the play-by-plays and hopefully because of the enjoyment, I’ll seemingly live in that moment. Your job sounds wonderful, Gunnar. I’m quite jealous!
My lameness will pay off eventually, I assume. That’s certainly a very nice thing for you to say, I appreciate it! I’m studying Vocal Arts at Juilliard, actually. It’s not something you usually see people studying.
